We started our year with a very interesting talk about sewing in South Africa and finished with a visit to Ramster Gardens. In between we have had a variety of speakers and social evenings, which have included food, a quiz, a murder mystery evening and informative and thought provoking talks. We have had four open evenings to which all members of the church are welcome.
Our numbers have grown and we have have been pleased to welcome some new members. We all appreciate the friends and fellowship we find within our group and this has become evident in the recent ‘Appreciating Church’ discussions which have been taking place. It is widely recognised that our Wednesday Group is, and has been for many years, the most thriving group within our church family.
We are always very grateful to those who share their homes to host the meetings and who provide refreshments when the meetings are at church. The committee will soon be getting together to plan a programme of meetings for the coming year and would appreciate any ideas for speakers and suggestions as to how the group can continue to grow and flourish. Please give any suggestions to one of the committee members.
This group, primarily for the ladies/gents of the church, meets once a fortnight on a Wednesday evening at 7.30, and we are always pleased to welcome new members. We usually meet in a member’s home, but sometimes have an open meeting at church to which all are invited. We have speakers on a variety of subjects and enjoy a natter over coffee afterwards.
